So now that we have our ingredients, let’s get to cooking!
Heat up 1-2 cans of Hunt’s pasta sauce (depending on how many you are feeding)
Cook Pasta (Barilla) al dente as we will be baking this also. ( I prefer the Ziti, but it works just as well with the Rotini, Penne, etc.)
Drain after about 8 minutes and immediately run cold water over pasta to shock and stop cooking process.
In your baking dish, pour some sauce to coat the bottom to prevent sticking.
Add a layer of cooked pasta, top with more sauce, and then sprinkled cheese (Sargento of course!)
Repeat process until pan is full/pasta is all used and top with remaining cheese.
Cover pan with a greased piece of tin foil (this will prevent it from sticking and taking that oh so yummy layer of cheese off.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
Uncover and bake for additional 10 – 15 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly.
Remove from oven and let “set'” for 5-8 minutes. Serve and enjoy!! This is actually a fairly easy meal to make and gives you a lasagna textured without the time and effort. A *NOT- sagna! 😉
